Women’s College Volleyball
Macomb CC 3, Jackson College 2: The Jets finished the season with an 18-9 overall record following a loss in the regional tournament. Jaden Bates finished with 25 digs, Alivia Smith tallied 33 assists, Gracen Hager collected 14 kills, and Allie Jarchow blocked four shots for Jackson College.
Women’s College Basketball
Jackson College at Triton Tournament: The Jets went 2-0 in the tournament in Illinois winning the championship Saturday with an 84-73 win over Moraine Valley CC. Kaylona Butler scored 26 points, Emily Carbajal added 17 points, Michelle McGee added 14 points and six assists, and Kiyla Brooks tallied 11 points for JC. Friday night the Jets defeated Triton College 68-57. Butler finished with 24 points, Zoie Bamm added 18 points and seven rebounds, and Michelle McGee tallied 12 points and dished seven assists, Butler was named as the tournament’s MVP for her efforts. The Jets are off until Nov. 20 when they travel to Delta College for a 5:30 tip.
Men’s College Basketball
Jackson College 80, Siena Heights Reserves 60: The Jets earned a home win Saturday against the reserve squad from Siena Heights University. Four players scored in double digits for Jackson College as Tareek Galadima scored 16 points, Savon Campbell and Cooper Johnston each scored 13 points, and Cedric Huntley added 10 points for JC (1-1). The Jets travel to Grand Rapids CC Wednesday for a 6 p.m. tipoff.
