Tennis

On Monday, the #8 Panther Girls Tennis Team improved their record to 4-2-1 with a 6-2 victory over I-8 Conference foe Coldwater.  This also improves the team’s conference undefeated record to 3-0.  Everyone fought hard in their matches against a strong wind and tough team.  Winners were 1 singles Dru Porter, 2 singles Ali Carmody, 1 doubles Becca Brushaber & Chehek Bharatiya, 2 doubles Sophia Nguyen & Grace Smith, 3 doubles Anna Wilcox & Karly Foster and 4 doubles Anna Willinger & Silvia Baker. Next up for the Panthers is an away match on Tuesday vs East Grand Rapids at 4:30 pm.  Let’s go Panthers!

The Columbia Central Girls Varsity tennis team swept Leslie tonight 8-0.  The girls were tough and gritty as they battled their opponents and the gusty wind conditions.

Golf

Last night at Burr Oak golf course the Concord boys golf team finished a season best 4th place shooting this years team low score of 212.

Drew Uncapher led the way with 48.  BrendanAckley finished with 52, Lleyton Bauman carded a 53, Keaton Smith shot 59 and Liam Bauman finished with 63.  Liam, Keaton and Drew had personal bests for the season.

 

The Columbia Central Boys Golf team hosted a six-team jamboree on Thursday, 4/17. The CC boys finished third in the event, shooting a team score of 192. They were led by Jr. Adam Senkewitz, who shot a team-low 44. Their next event will be Tuesday, 4/22, at Hankard Hills, an event hosted by Leslie.
