The 14-game non-conference schedule for the U of M men’s basketball 2015-16 season has been announced. John Beilein’s Wolverines will kick-off the season on November 13th at the Crisler Center against the squad from Northern Michigan. The first game with a marquee opponent will pit the Wolverines against Xavier in the inaugural Gavitt Tipoff Games, November 20th at Crisler Center. the Xavier Musketeers were a Sweet 16 team last season and return six of their top eight scorers.
U of M will play against a who’s who of collegiate basketball competition during the Battle 4 Atlantis, November 25 thru the 27th. in the Bahamas. The bracket will be released soon and includes Gonzaga, Syracuse, Texas, UConn, and others.
In recruiting news 5-star recruit Miles Bridges, from Flint, met with head coach John Beilein on Monday and spent most of the day on campus for an unofficial visit with Michigan. Bridges, a 6’7″ forward, is expected to announce his college decision by December and has Michigan ranked among his top 5 schools. The list also includes Michigan State, Kentucky, Indiana, and North Carolina.
