Good evening to all!  Whoot Whoot, your Columbia Central Lady Eagles took on Michigan Center in the first round of DII District Quarterfinals & swept the Cardinals in 3 sets!  Set 1 saw your Lady Eagles come out strong & forced the Cardinals to make a few more errors that they wanted to make & we came out on top 25-18. Set 2 was a little different as the Cardinals were a little more focused & tried to pick a way at our holes.  We found ourselves behind by 5 as it looked as if it was slipping a way a little bit.  After a time out, a lil chat to pull it together, we showed a huge amount of mental toughness to battle back 1 at a time & found our way back on top taking set 2 26-24!  Set 3 saw a very determined Eagle squad take the floor & never look back.  Sweeping the 3rd 25-18 & were moving on to Wednesday to take on the Chelsea Bulldogs on their home court at 7:00 in the Semi Final Round.  We are gonna have to work hard & force Chelsea to make more errors.  We would love to see as much support in the stands cheering these awesome ladies on to a victory Wednesday evening.  Tickets are for sale at Gofan.com! Alison Richardson led in kills with 9, led in assists with 17 & aces with 3.  She also chipped in 13 digs.
Mara Henry led is digs tonight with 19, added 11 assists, 5 kills & 1 ace
