Lumen 11 vs. BC Pennfield gm1 Lumen Christi came out swinging in game 1. They scored 5 runs in the first inning and cruised to 11-1 win over Pennfield. The Titans offense was lead by Emma Smiley who had a double and a triple while knocking on 2 runs. Bree Okoniewski, Allison O’Dowd, and Riley Okoniewski each had 2 hits for the Titan offense. Bella Wrozek struck out 8 in 5 innings of work on the mound for LC.
Lumen 17 vs. BC Pennfield 6 gm2 The Titans and Panthers were in a back and forth game for the first 4 innings of game 2. LC then scored 10 in the bottom of the 5th, capped off by Emma Smileys 3 run home run to walk off the mercy rule win. Bree Okoniewski had 4 hits at the plate and struck out 7 to get the pitching win. Lily Ganton, Mallory Arcaro, Emily Rogers, and Codi Ruge each recorded 2 hits.
Western 1 vs. Northwest 2 gm1 the Panthers found themselves ahead 1-0 after four scoreless innings. Peyton Budd got on base and Ashlynn Yeo scored Budd off her double to left center. After some solid defense, the Panthers found themselves tied 1-1. Two outs, bottom of the 7th, the 9 batter hit a solo home run for the win. Leading the hitting was Abby Nieswender with two, Golas, Yeo, Wilson and White each had singles. Whisman took the loss, striking out 11 and walking just 2 batters.
Western 6 vs. Northwest 1 gm2 Great defensive plays were made by Peyton Budd, Nicole Shellberg, Nicole Wilson, and Abby Nieswender. The offensive attack was led by Nicole Wilson with a triple!! Abby Nieswender hit a two run homer! Alivia Hall and Hailey Whisman each hit doubles. Yeo and Fortress each had hits. Whisman took the win striking out 7 and walking just 1 batter.
